INSPIRATION

Classic, chic Houndstooth is always in, and worked in smooshy luxurious cashmere makes it your to go accessory this fall season!

Escher’s Dream hat is a companion to the cowl, released earlier - houndstooth pattern is both fashion forward and classy, and this version of it is worked in mosaic technique with only one color worked per round!

The pattern includes two crown decrease versions - the grey/white hat is worked in Stockinette deceases to resemble a store bought hat and a pink/black hat uses crown decreases done in Houndstooth pattern. Choose your flavor or knit them both!

The pattern is both written and charted.

YARN

Clinton Hill Bespoke DK - samples uses colors Sand and Graphite, one ball each, or about 110 yards for each color.

MEASUREMENTS

Circumference: 20” head

Height: 8.5” for the in Houndstooth pattern crown decreases; 9” for the Stockinette decreases

NEEDLES

US#4/3.50mm - 16”/40cm;

US#5/3.75mm - 16”/40cm circular needles and DPNs

TOOLS

1 marker and tapestry needle

GAUGE

22 sts/32 rows per 4” using US#5/3.75 mm needles in Houndstooth mosaic stitch post blocking or size to obtain gauge; each repeat of Houndstooth mosaic is 1.25” wide by 1.50” long
