INSPIRATION

Cabled Cheer is a chunky textured hat with easy cable and some twisted stitches thrown in to the mix. Knit one up as a quick last minute gift or just for yourself! The hat comes in three sizes.

YARN

Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Bulky – 100% wool; 137 yards (125 m) per 100 g (3.53 oz) skein

Blue sample shown in colorway Cadet and red sample is knit with Universal Yarn Deluxe Chunky colorway Christmas Red.

MEASUREMENTS

Hat circumference: 15” (17”, 19”) to fit 17”-19” (19”-21”, 21”-23”) head – Size 1(2, 3) - when choosing size, aim for 2” negative ease

Height: 8” (8.5”, 9”)

NEEDLES

US#8/5.00mm - 16”/40cm circular needles and US#9/5.50mm - 16”/40cm circular needles and DPNs

TOOLS

One marker, cable needle (optional), tapestry needle

GAUGE

23 sts/26 rows per 4” square using US#9/5.50mm needles in hat body stitch unstretched post blocking or size needle to obtain gauge
